失敗なら国民負担も」
先日、新聞の大きな見出しが
目に飛び込んできました。
ルネサスとは、日立製作所、三菱電機、
NECの半導体事業が前身の大手会社。
モーターなどの動きをきめ細かく制御する
マイコンが主力で自動車向けでは世界で
４割超のシェアを持っています。
官民ファンドの産業革新機構は、
ルネサスエレクトロニクスの株式の
3分の2を1千数百億円で取得
する方針を固めたそうなんですね。
これは1千億円で買収提案をしている
米投資ファンドに対して、ルネサスの
高い技術力の国外流出を防ぐ目的です。
世界の半導体市場は、1950年代から
70年代までアメリカがトップを占め、
80年代から90年代まで日本がトップを
独占していました。（シェア約75%）
私は前職、半導体エンジニアだったので
そんな半導体業界の華やかな全盛期を
経験しているんですよ。
独身は高級車を乗り回し、既婚者は次々と
住宅を購入、仕事は国内海外を飛び回り、
毎日が午前様のハードスケジュール。
こんな状態が永遠に続くと誰もが信じて
いました。
その会社が2009年突然、倒産したんです。
原因はリーマンショックでした。
倒産決定後、約５００人いた社員たちは、
どうしたらいいか分からずうろたえ、
眠れなくなったり、気持ちがうわの空に
なったり、無口になったりしました。
ですが、結局、会社は何もしてくれない。
いやできないんです。
私も２０年勤めていたにも関わらず
無力な自分が悔しかった。
会社の最終日、ここに来るのはこれで最後かと
開発ルームで１人、たたずんでいました。
壁に大きく掲げられた『安全第一』の横断幕を
眺めていると今までの２０年間が自然と
思い出されてきたんですね。
新入社員だった時、大分工場を立ち上げようと
10人足らずで毎日、燃えていたこと。
分からずやの先輩や上司に何度もブチ切れて
食ってかかったこと。
「お前の好きなようにやってみろ」といろいろと
チャレンジさせてくれたこと。
自分のミスを上司がかばってくれたこと。
会社初の海外駐在員としてシンガポール
駐在所を立ち上げたこと。
壁に貼られた客先別開発スケジュール表を
眺めながら、長い時間、青春だったこの会社を
懐かしみました。
そして最後、開発ルームに正座して静かに
黙とうし深々と頭を下げ、人生の再出発を
心に誓ったのでした。
ところでルネサスは、今後、従業員の約3割
となる1万2千人超の削減を進めていくそう
ですが、関連会社まで含めると今回の事が
どれだけ大きな影響か想像も付きません。
ですが、私たちはどんな状況からでも
這い上がって生きていく必要がありますよね。
私は会社倒産後、最初にやった事は、人生の
棚卸しをして自分の強みと弱みの見直しでした。

しようと思ったんですね。

基礎となっているんですよね。
